Protest Breaks Out In Times Square Against Transgender Military Ban

Hundreds of people filled Times Square on Wednesday night, protesting President Trump’s ban on transgender individuals serving in the military.

“I am appalled.  I am angry and I am going to fight like hell on behalf of my transgender brothers and sisters,” City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito said.

Protesters criticized the president’s policy and claimed he’s rolling back time by reversing an Obama-era order that allowed transgender individuals to serve.

Trump announced the move in a series of tweets on Wednesday morning.
