David And Tamela Mann Head To TV One

Fresh from her first Grammy win and performance with Chase the rapper and Kirk Franklin at the 59th Grammy Awards, word comes that Tamela Mann will join husband David Mann and their children as The Manns head over to TV One for a new one hour docu-series.

“We are excited to have David, Tamela and The Mann family join TV One because they represent the best of R.E.A.L – relatable, engaging, authentic and loving,” said D’Angela Proctor, TV One SVP of Programming and Production. “The Manns are a great modern day example of a family that works together, plays together and prays together.”

David and Tamela have delighted audiences in several television, theater and film vignettes including “Meet the Browns” and “Mann & Wife.” The new show offers a glimpse into their real lives as they balance music, ministry, business and family.

Kirk And Tam Nab Grammy Wins

Kirk Franklin brought home two Grammys yesterday with wins in both of the categories he was nominated. Franklin won the Grammy for Best Gospel Album for Losing My Religion. and for his writing on Best Gospel Performance/Song for the song with “God Provides”  recorded by Tamela Mann! The duo also closed out the show in big fashion in a performance with Chance The Rapper who won big in three categories – Best New Artist, Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance, saying in his new artist acceptance, “Glory be to God. I claim this victory in the name of the Lord,” Chance said in accepting his award for best new artist. “I want to thank God for my mother and my father, who supported me since I was young, for Kirsten, for Kensli, for all of Chicago, and I want to thank God for putting amazing people in my life.” Check out Tamela Mann’s glowing acceptance speech and the finale performance below
