Maxine Waters Calls Ben Carson ‘An Educated Fool’
And just what does Congresswoman Maxine Waters think of Ben Carson, the head of Trump’s office of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)?
Well, during a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation event on Thursday, she referred to him as the same thing anybody thinking logically would. She called him an “educated fool.”
“Look at Ben Carson. My God. My grandmother would call him an educated fool,” Waters said.
“Here’s a man who has a reputation of being a highly competent surgeon, but when he talks about poor people, he says they’re the cause of their poverty. He doesn’t understand why you didn’t do what he did and why you didn’t make it like he made it. And he doesn’t know the difference between slavery and immigration,” she continued.
Carson, by the way, is scheduled to testify before the House Financial Services Committee, where Waters serves as the top Democrat.
“He’s coming before my committee. If you think I took [Treasury Secretary Steve] Mnuchin on, you watch what I’m going to do to Ben Carson,” she said.
This is not the first time the Cali Congresswoman has gone at Carson.
Waters said in July that Carson “doesn’t care about people in public housing,” and warned she would “take his ass apart” when he testified before the committee.
