Storm prediction models are showing a threat of severe weather on Monday for large portions of the state of Louisiana.

According to the National Weather Service, a line of storms will begin over the western part of the state around noon before pushing through Southeast Louisiana around 4 p.m.

Officials say flooding is not likely but there could be damage from high winds and a possibility of hail in some areas.

New Orleans residents planning to attend the Saints game on Monday night are being advised to prepare for the weather, which could be the most severe around the time fans are heading home.
