The Blood Center is calling on donors to roll up their sleeves.
This week's historic winter storm disrupted blood donations that were scheduled for earlier this week. As a result, blood supplies are below established minimum levels.
The Blood Center resumed normal operations on Thursday after being shut down on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Several locations are open extended hours in an effort to replenish depleted reserves.
As usual, the most critical shortage is Type O blood.
